I got a WD Passport (320GB) for my Birthday, to keep all my Uni work in one easy place. It works fine at home, yet when I bring it into Uni, I plug it into the USB slots and it'll work occasionally, for a few seconds, then it'll click and disconnect. When it is working and I plug in a USB stick, it'll disconnect the removable HDD.
So, I thought it wasn't getting enough power, so I borroed one of the USB cables with two USB to one mini USB, when I plugged this in, the Removable HDD wasn't detected at all.
What the hell is up!? Is it just these computers being they're usual shitty selves? I'm not sure if they're USB 1.0 or 2.0. I doubt they're 2.0 though.
