Remove Antivir & install AVG Free

Does AVG Free have a time limit before you have to pay for its definitions updates? How often does it update its definitions once it has been up and running past the initial period?

What is the best way to do a clean uninstall of Antivir? Should I just use the 'Add Remove...' function in Control Panel? Does anyone know how often Antivir updates its definitions?

Avg Free is....free lol.

dont have 2 pay 4 definitions..

Avg free does have its limitations, it gets updated but its on a very low priority and doesnt get done anywhere near as fast or often as the proffesional version.

Now that I've looked further into it, I think I'll install Avast instead of AVG.

The updates still run pretty quick, and the program works forever for free...
