Hi

If we buy a used PC and it booted up with company splash screen with an OK button (a security message to users). This pops up before a login screen and requires User Name and Password.

How do we get rid of it? so that we can go straight into Windows and use the PC when boot up.

Hi. thanks.

1. Is that the only way?

2. If yes,
A. should we need to purchase a new Ms Windows?
B. and install the windows all over?
C. any possibility the softwares can be preserved e.g. Ms office applications etc

Thanks.

It's the middle of the night in the USA, so don't expect a whole lot of traffic here to answer your question within a few hours. Patience. To answer your questions.

1. You could probably find a sketchy way to bypass the password but a clean install is your safest and easiest bet.
2. Windows will activate if it's already been activated on that machine. You should be fine.
3. MS Office and similar will not be preserved if you reinstall fresh. You'll need a new key, or just use Open Office.

If you bought it used from a company, you should have got the username/password from that company when you exchanged cash.

If you didn't, it makes me question if that machine is yours, or if you are trying to illegally access someones/some companies property.

I assume its all legit, but nobody here knows for sure and can't help in good faith, and potentially be aiding in a crime.

Sorry, but I don't buy these kinda stories
