Vizio television Model D40f-G9, being used as a monitor for a Windows 10 PC. Each time I shift between web pages, or between programs, an obnoxious drop down appears across the top of the screen. I want to turn this off permanently.
I've tired the manual, google, and tech support.
Tech support, just excuses and contradictory information.
Drop down says "VizioCastDisplay1731 HDMI 2 720p normal stereo" and then shows a clock.
One tech told me to "turn off CEC" then the next tech told me that was stupid as this "feature" has nothing to do with CEC, whatever that is. She said "it can't be turned off". I can't believe such an annoyance has no way to be removed. Every time I change between web pages or computer programs, the window drops down, blocking the view and enraging me.
