Removewga error

Hello everyone.

I purchased a key online and after 6 months (windows 7) it shows that it is not a valid key.

That annoys the heck out of me. But until I save up for the MS download of a new one, I at least want to remove the
constant notifier.

I downloaded the removewga 1.2 but it comes up with an error saying cannot find winlogon.exe process.

Any help in here would be greatly appreciated,
thanks a lot,
Michael

Except for buying a new key anything else is against forum rules.
Call or e-mail whoever you bought it from and see what they will do about it.
EDIT: Johnb may have some ideas I remember some update may have caused a simular issue.

If it is an approved method suggested by Microsoft till you can change the unfortunate rip-off I doubt that it is against forum rules.

It is a legal download, and I have often been on the phone in the past cuz I had a similar issue with an XP installation.
They had me download a similar tool to remove the notification so I wouldn't be bothered with it...common practice.

I did contact the vendor and I have a feeling that it is no use.

Thanks anyway,
Mike

Where did you purchase the key from? Many people sell fake keys which will work for sometime and then stop working.

Either one of 2 things here.

1. Your infected and has caused havoc with wga.

2. You purchased an illegal key and when you did windows update it found you have a illegal key.

Where did you purchase this key and how much was it? A legit price for a license is usually right around the price of the actual install cd with the key included.
