Removing previous installations of XP.

I ended up having to do 2 new installations of XP due to a virus attack (long story, W32/GAELICUM  ), and now at the startup, it asks me which XP installation i want to load, a choice of 3 XP HOME installations. And in my C: drive, it also has the folders WINDOWS, WINDOWS.0, WINDOWS.1.

How do I remove the previous installations of XP Home?

since they are new installations, why not just reinstall again, delete all partitions except for the main one and format it.

if not, what i have done in the past is :
i selected all 3 windows folders and deleted them. the one that is operational and(the one you are using) will not get deleted, but the other two should.

as far as choosing the selection, is that bothering you too? or did u just want to point that out?

Thanks for the reply.

I was just pointing that out, but also wouldn't mind getting rid of it.
