Can anybody help me with a problem I have?
I know this is for desktops computer only, but for this question might not make any difference.
I want to install a program that requires service pack 2, and the one that is installed in my lop top is SP3. Can I remove the SP3 and install the older version SP2, and how I can do so?

Thank you.

Yes, when I start the installation a window opens up, this is whats written: "This product requires service pack 4 on windows NT 4.0 systems".
I have this program installed in my desktop computer which it has windows xp 2002 service pack 2.
Now what does it mean when it say windows NT?

Thank you.

Really Windows NT 4.0 was before Windows 2000. Dont know why it would say that on a XP install. How old/what is the program?

From the other thread.

Whats the name of this program. Go to Systems Information on the one your installing it on to make sure it has XP. Just seems odd it would ask you to install SP4 for NT 4.0

Then most likely you need to install it using compatibility mode. If the program is installed then right click on the .exe in the program menu, click on properties, click on compatibility tab and change it to windows nt4.0. If it still won't run, you are out of luck. Your best bet then would be to see if they have an updated version of the program that will work in XP.
