Removing Windows 7 File History Links with These Programs

Concerning Microsoft Excel, Word, Paint, etc., how do I remove the history on these (screenshot attached) without having to click on the black arrow (I circled in red) and right-click and choose "Remove from List" for every single file shortcut (I boxed in red), some of which no longer even exist anymore. Do I have to choose "Remove from List" for every single file shortcut until they're all gone? Thanks!

All you have to do is uncheck the box in red and click apply.

Thanks, John. I think it was the same with the Taskbar Properties in either Windows 98 or XP or both, but I haven't used 98 in so long and it's also been a while for me for XP.

Thanks again. This just gets rid of one of those mini splinters in the mind. Small headache, probably not worth the trouble, but I like everything being "clean" =)
