Repeated BSOD Problem

Hello, i have been getting BSOD repeatedly and it's always when i play video games. My laptop has been running fine for over 3 years and it just started to randomly occur. I do have my graphics card underclocked because it started to overheat years ago, but it has always ran fine. The BSOD has persisted for the last three weeks. I tried doing a factory reset yesterday to see if it would help, but I still got a BSOD today. My laptop is a Dell XPS L502x with windows 7 64-bit. I have the dump file from when the blue screen occurs. Any help would be greatly appreciated, let me know if you need anymore information.

Thanks

Its due to your video driver or the card itself. If the card was overheating then its most likely damaged. Are you running the latest driver for it?

Yes i am running the latest driver, i tried rolling back my graphics driver and it still happened. If my video card is damaged, how come it ran fine for over 3 years then all of a sudden started having problems? What else can I try to do to see if this really is the problem?

Thanks

Cards can go bad at any time. Just because it was working fine for 3 years doesn't mean it can't go bad. Thats how parts break. Is that the only dump file you have in the minidumps folder?

Sadly yes, that is the only dump file i have in the folder. I probably should of took my old dump folder before reformatting my whole laptop. So it might just be the card failing even though it will work fine for sometime 5+ hours of gaming then just bluescreen? I also noticed it blue screens faster if i am not plugged in so i am wondering if it's a power issue to the GPU. Is there any kind of scan or test i can run and give you a report of to help you out?

Thanks for replying to quickly btw I really appreciate the help

No, not really. Not unless the laptop has a built in program to test the video card in the bios. I know Dells and HP's usually have system tests you can run from the bios.
