Replace Hard Drive

Is it posible to replace my Hard Drive using either an XP Upgrade CD or my Factory Reset CD, or do i unfortunetly have to buy a full copy of XP? The disk in my other computer is broken so will need replacing.
 
You can't use the Upgrade CD unless you can install win98 or something first. The reset CD should work if the rest of the hardware is the same.
