My CPU is 10C colder, its quieter and the PC just feels better.
Is the Freezer Pro 7 not up to par for a Q9450 or was mine just a faulty one? I am see'ing temps in the upper 30s, completely unheard of with my old cooler
Stocks always have lacked...I dunno why they even include them I would prefer a cheaper chip w/o a sink.
The 64 pro has a 125w TDP at full load at that temps it will be 23.5c above ambient temps at 100% load.
Buddy of mine bought mine for his 9850 Phenom since he hated his stock. Not sure on his temps but I can ask. I know for a fact they were cooler though.
The Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro I think is more for the dual-core processors and not really for the higher end Core 2 Quads? Ill get a new cooler in a few weeks, but the Intel one is perfectly adequate, right now, I am idling at 36C. The lowest I ever idled on the Arctic Cooling fan was 47C
The Arctic was set to maximum, and it made an awful loud noise. The stock is also set to max and I can't hear it in my Whisper case, I probably would if it was a standard case.
wow, my Q6600 came with the one on the left. My crappy E2180 came with one similar to the one on the right.
The AC Freezer could have been installed wrong or the thermal paste could have been because that stock heatsink is dinky. Since I have my watercooling, I used my Q6600 heatsink on the E2180 and my temps dropped a good 10C.
