Replacement HD

Hey, I need a replacement hard drive for my laptop and I'm not quite sure what I need to get. I want to make sure it will connect. My laptop is the HP dv9000 but I can't find anything on their site about what HD will work. I pulled the HD out and its a Seagate Momentus 7200.1 100GB HD, but I'm just not sure what I should order. Any help would be appreciated

Does it have pins on it when you pull it out or does it have 2 slots?

Then your looking for an ATA drive. Any kind should do, but if you want faster speeds, go with a 7200 RPM drive.

voyager is right; you have a SATA hard drive. i also have a dv9000 with a 120gb western digital, so brand does not matter. this 120 gb from newegg should work just fine http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136072

Slots-SATA

I said ATA. OTherise known as IDE.
