Replacement screen help 4 laptop

Ive got an old Compaq Presario CQ56-110US model laptop with a busted screen. I've looked online for a replacement screen and found a few but the companies want more for the replacement screen than the laptop is even worth. Are there any laptop screens that are compatible with this model laptop that are around the $60 range. Any help would be much appreciated.
 
You're best bet is to pull the LCD out and plug the model number into ebay. I personally hate Compaq and HP laptops so I wouldn't fix it unless you really want/need it.
 
Yea ! that screen is way to high to replace, The cheapest I found was $99.00 bucks..You might check ebay or Amazon for a Used one..
OR remove the Old one and take a look at the back to get the Number, then you can see what other laptops it will fit... good luck.
