Replacing a certain webpage with my own fake page.

Hi guys, this is my first time posting here so go easy on me. What I want to do is that whenever someone visits a certain webpage they are instead redirected to my own webpage. I just want to do this in my own home where only two laptops are used one of which is my own. I use LAN which is connected to a TP Link router. I tried DNS spoofing but through that method you just target another pc, you cannot fool your own pc (I think).
Any help would be appreciated.

You'd either want to modify the clients host file, to point that name to the IP of the server you want it to go to, or point the clients DNS server to a custom DNS server which redirects users to the server of your choosing.
 
I googled around a bit and found out how to edit hosts file. Sounds easy enough. Now I only need to know how to create a fake website? What web host to use? I dont want to spend anything since I wont be using this website for long. Or am I still doing something wrong? :3
 
How should I do that? Havent done that before. Btw I just want to fake a certain webpage from the whole website, is that possible? Faking the whole website would be too much work. I can PM you exactly want I want to do and can give you the reason too if you want to know.

Like I said, you would need a server. You would load up Xampp or Wampserver. But you sound like you don't know how to create a webpage to begin with so this isn't gonna happen.

Try me I am a quick learner. Just tell me the process I will figure it out :)
 
I got no issue telling you guys. Basically, I am trying to hide my uni results. By redirecting the page to my own webpage I will edit the results. :D

The ease of doing so depends on what your university website looks like. Is it a site that requires a log in? Most likely your uni website is complex, and wouldn't be very easy to just copy and modify.
 
I know it wont be easy but I actually dont have to edit the website at all. There are only two computers which must view the fake page I would be placing and I have access to both of them. Cant I just edit the hosts file providing ip for my page. Nobody would be inquiring much. Btw I just downloaded WAMP.

Yes you can modify the host file and put in the IP of the new website you want it directed to.

This seems like a lot of work so your parents don't see your grades.

This is a huge job just to lie to your parents... Man up and just tell them...
