replacing bits in my computer

hey guys

so I have a dell (sort of) but really the only parts left in it that are from dell are the mobo and the case (everything else has been replaced). before i go and spend all my money on parts, i need to know:

will this mobo (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131383) fit in this case (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146047), and will the mobo be able to work with my current processor (a Pentium D 3.2 ghz)?

if not, or if you have thoughts on a better case/mobo, please share.

on a somewhat related note, is this (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136313 a good hd, and worth the money?

thanks in advance,
LPM

CPU would work with that mobo.

However, Your CPU is outdated. A $60 new CPU would probably faster than your old one. Also intel will discontinue LGA 775 soon, there is no point to spend money on new LGA775 mobo with your old CPU.

case: should fit ATX mobo

HDD - that is a good HDD, but that is for enterprise use. if you don't plan to run PC 24/7, got for cheaper

+1, That motherboard is alright...but for $60 more you could grab an Athlon II X2 240:

And then an AM2+ Motherboard:

or

new stuff

Ok. So say i were to buy the new case/mobo/processor, but wait on the new HD (for monetary reasons). would i be able to replace mobo and processor and plug in all my old stuff (including hd) and have it work right away? or would i have to reinstall windows or something because its a new mobo/processor?

edit (to avoid the dreaded multi-post):

And what if, for the same aforementioned monetary reasons, i wanted to keep my current processor. Suggestions on a good mobo that would support it?

one last question. would my current mobo (Dell Inc. 0HJ054, standard mobo in an E510) fit that case? because i really have no problem with my current mobo, the only reason i was considering replacing it is that its old and might need replacing soon, and if im gonna disembowel my comp to move to a new case i might as well get a new mobo.

dell E510 manual doesnt seem to say anything about mobo size/shape/etc, but here it is if you want to look
