Replacing motherboard

Basically if you are wanting to use the same processor then you just find a board that supports am2+ and then check its cpu support for your specific processor.

As far as brand goes, try to get either Asus or Gigabyte. What is your budget?
 
Budget is flexible, less then $50 would be ideal. And it would be nice if it had an onboard vid card.

Is there a difference between the athelon 64 x2, athelon 64, athelon x2, or athelon 2? Because I can only find a few that specifically say Athelon 64 x2.

There's no "e" in Athlon. ;)

Anything with X2 on the end means it's a dual core. There's also X3 for tri core, X4 for quad, and even X6 for phenom II's.

Athlon II, Athlon, and Athlon 64 are all different generations of the same line of processors. Kind of like Pentium 3, 4, D, etc...

The newest generation is "Athlon II", with just plain "Athlon 64" just before that. Anything named "Athlon X2" is art of the Athlon 64 line, while Athlon II x2 (or x3/x4) is part of the newest generation.

Alright I think I've got my head around it, thanks for the explanation I got so confused with all the x's and such. So really if it doesn't say Athlon (note spelling :P) 64 X2 it wont work.
 
Also would help to know what existing memory you have so we can recommend a board that uses the same memory.
 
Yes, the board he linked to supports the 7750. Just be careful if you do get that board as it supports both ddr2 and ddr3 memory, there are different slots for each so read the manual as to what slots are for what memory.
