Replacing Motherboard

I have a friend who needs a new MB in his laptop, I've never done any work on one myself except to add RAM. How much trouble is replacing a MB on a laptop? Thanks!

why is replacing the motherboard so hard? is it better to start over?

probly not unless you can get the exact same mobo and even then your gonna struggle to take it out and mount it back in

It's not really allot of work, but it is frustrating. Especially when something doesn't fit or you've but it in a wrong way etc...

This may sound weird and funny, but be sure to make a plan and consider the mistakes that will happen if you do it like this, or like that.

laptop parts are crammed in good, remember what the hell you are taking out and how it was placed.

on the other hand your friend deserves a new laptop!

I am sorry, I haven't noticed that you meant a motherboard for a laptop. Trust me, that is hard work. Like I said before it's frustrating, and you'll say all the time: I'd better not opened it from the start.

Either just Ebay it and find an parts lappy.. I can second the "hard part". I have tried to take themotherboard out of am E500... didnt end well...
