Reset all Network settings on computer?

I recently have undergone some serious Internet issues. After 2 days the whole network was fixed. My computer works great for 2 days. Quick and no problems. Next day the network is fine but my computer won't work very well.

It's connected and being connected isn't an issue. The problem is my speed is gone. Every device in the house is uquick but mine crawls for several minutes before loading web pages. Steam flat fails and Skype intermittently connects. I've reset modem and router several times. Obviously there is a setting somewhere that is messed up on my computer. I have reinstalled my network card too. Twice.

How can I fix this? Possible to reset all network settings?

Also: I notice my Ipv4and ipv6 are weird. Ipv4 says Internet while ipv6 says network only. Source of problem?

I have tries everything I can think of. Please help! I've been stressing over this for almost a week now.

Yeah I tried that before.

I just went into device manager, uninstalled my wireless adapter. Reinstalled it with device manager and now it's back to normal.

Although knowin my luck it will be messed up tomorrow. Thanks for your help.

Well it's back. It worked fine when I got home, albeit a little slow getting connected. Then I restarted and it's doing the same thing.

Is it possible for me to reset windows but still keep my steam games or music from iTunes?

Redownloading over 100 gigs of steam games over a 300kb/s download speed won't be fun.

Denther, as far as your music try crashplan.com to backup your files. Their prices are very affordable .

Thanks. I think I have got everything back to normal but I can't be to optimistic. I reinstalled my wireless drivers using software from Belkin. Before I tried reinstalling adapter but never uninstalled the driver software. Deleted that software, and reinstalled afresh. Seems happy now. Hopefully it will last. Corrupt driver files?

And of course it is back.

Seems my only other option is reformat and reinstall windows. Could I copy some files over to an external HDD then it back. Mainly Steam games?

uhm.. none that I can think of. You may want to make sure you don't have any questions before you start though.

Ok well I restarted and it is working.

Can anyone think of ANY reason why it would exhibit this behavior?

I'm still probably going to reset.

Edit:

I'm planning on using the directions from these two sites.

Steam:

I'm creating a backup right now and tomorrow I will do the first procedure and copy all my files over to a external HDD.

Reinstalling 7:

Should I format my HDD in the process? It makes it sound like I could reinstall, then just pull all my files and programs off the old partition, then remove it. I'm not sure though.

Ok reformatted and reinstalled.

And it still give me the same problem. The only thing installed on my computer now is Windows and my wireless adapter.

WHAT IS GOING ON!?!

I lugged my computer downstairs and plugged it in with an Ethernet cable. Works like a charm.

Is it possible for my wireless adapter itself to completely malfunction?
