Resolution compatibility

Hi...just wondering if there is anything I can possibly do to solve this compatibility issue I have between this program that runs on 1024x768 and my netbook which runs on 1024x600. I've tried a plethora of things and nothing seems to work. I have all the hardware I need to actually run the freaking program....i just can't run it on the screen resolution. Wondering if anybody has a possible fix for this.

Curious what program do you speak of? Most programs far as I am aware really have no screen resolution preference nor would it effect the running of the actual program.

Its a Japanese Language learning program. I'm not concerned with the specs. I'm pretty sure my netbook can handle it with 1.6 GHz processor and 2 GB of RAM. I'm taking a trip and I want to be able to view it on my netbook.

If's its a Japanese Language learning program i presume you will be looking
at symbols or letters/words so would the resolution make that much
difference. And i am not being flippant.

Frustrating

No it wouldn't which is why this program is being increasingly frustrating cause it is not hard on the comp and resolution really doesn't matter. I've tried meeting the aspect ratio with less resolution and it still doesn't work.

Found this on another site dont know what it means but you might.

You can use scrollable 1024x768,

Open properties on desktop > settings tab > advanced > monitor tab> clear box "hide modes this monitor cannot display" > click intel tab > graphics properties > display settings > select 1024x768

Hope it helps.:)

It might be windows 7 starter but they disabled that option on my comp....Thanks tough...thats some real interesting information....If I ever run onto that problem on a laptop thats a good fix.

It's like google earth, my netbook's resolution is also set @ 1024x600 and the latest version of Google Earth requires screen res. to be set @ 1024x768 or higher :l
On netbooks running windows (XP/7starter) on the bottom right next to the taskbar there should be a little arrow next to the Battery, wi-fi signal strength, volume etc.
Click on it, and then click on the little blue thing that usually is "Intel graphics media accelerator for mobile". Here there is a list of options. Go into display settings, then select the resolution from a drop down menu. Mine only has two options - 1024x600/800x600.
However, on a netbook with 2GB of RAM there should be a 1024x768 option.
At least there was on my friend's one :P
