Resolution Disappeared From Settings

Hello all,
I recently bought a Samsung 215TW which worked like a dream. After a few days my PC developed a strange fault which I suspect was a virus. I have cleared it all up now but for some reason I no longer have the option of 1680X1050 in my settings. I have uninstalled and re-installed the Samsung software to no avail.
Any ideas?

i had the same problem with vista but it was not available to begin with :)
i tried it on another pc which is running xp and it will run at that mode. so i suspect it is either the video card or driver :) since the vista driver at the time was beta and now it is official but the monitor is currently RMA :)
