Resolution Equivalent

My Microsoft Surface Laptop Go has a resolution of 1536 x 1024 on a 3:2 ratio screen. What is that equivalent to in TV’s resolutions standards; like is it close to 720p, 1080p, or 4k?

1920 x 1080 = 2073600 pixels
1280 x 720 = 921600 pixels
1536 x 1024 = 1572864 pixels

So basically ~75.9% of a 1080p display, or ~+58.6% to a 720p display.

I loved the way they flipped the resolution around with 4K. Through 1080 they always used the vertical pixels as the resolution, as in this TV is a 1080. But when 4K came out to make you think to the average person, man look how many pixels this thing has. No that's the horizontal pixels. Plus most TVs are not 4096, they are 3840. So technically by the old standard they should be called 2K or 2160.

I also agree with the marketing fluff disdain. "4K" is more buzzwordy and easier than 'ten eighty p' but some consistency would be nice. My largest pet peeve is people who believe they are technical experts for simply saying "4K" a dozen times with some sort of falsely inflated technical wizard ego :p
