Resolution Fix.

How do I modify the resolution to full screen games? I know, most of them have an option. And, yes, it depends on your graphics drivers. Et cetera... Aside from the apparent answers, I'm wondering if I can tweak something in the registry, INI files, or even the EXE? I don't know where to look, but for games that don't have the option to set a resolution, like The Sims, is it possible to set a custom measurement?

Well pretty much all games run full screen by default. To change resolution to my desire with Dungeon Siege I&II, I added height=1024 width=1280 to the end of the "target" field on the executable.

So something like this ""C:\Games\Microsoft Games\Dungeon Siege 2\DungeonSiege2.exe" height=768 width=1280"

This won't work with every game but you can try it with yours if you like, You cannot hurt anything.

As for full screen, well your games should automatically run full screen.

The games do run full screen- I meant how can I edit the resolution displayed for full screen games?

I'm trying to reconfigure The Sims to be precise.

Thanks for the idea, Blue, but it just didn't work out. I'll keep it in mind if this occurs with any other title, though.

What, exactly, would I modify in the registry, Fade? I don't see anything that pertains to the resolution.

Thank you-
