Resolution help

I just bought a 32" LG HD TV screen to replace my 22". and Let me say bigger is better. lol, but heres the thing. The resolution that I have the screen on is 1280x768. But the problem is that the text isn't very crisp as when I had it on my 22".

So my question is, has this something to do with being a Tv screen or the video card. What can I do to get the same quality that i had on my 22" on to my 32".

I'm running dual Nvidia GeForce 8600GT.

If I have to by new Graphic cards, can you recommend one, but Preferably one that not going to break the bank.

dirtbikeryzz - No my previous screen was just your average computer screen. I couldn't find a computer screen larger than 23", so I decided to buy a TV screen that was capable of hooking up to a computer.

As for the sharpness, Where about would I need to go to change the sharpness.

Thats the most your tv is capible of putting out...

TV's aren't designed to be viewed at from 3 feet away.

Menu options sharpness. Not sure how you couldn't find a bigger monitor??? Chances are your tv is a cheaper tv and naturally looks bad.

dirtbikeryzz - First off the TV ain't old or cheap. I got it around $700 brand new. And the Image is very clear, it's just the text thats a bit raggedy, but still readable.

As for the size, well. I've seen 29"'s but I preferred to go higher.

if your on windows 7 but they added in a kind of soultion to this problem called clear type, think it is under the display settings, that allows you to optimise text viewing for hdtv's may help

I'm currently running XP, But I have just bought a DVI Cable that might help. Or so I'm told. Either way, we'll see what happenes. Thanks everyone for the help.

unless the tv is 1080 P your not gonna get the crispness of a Monitor, the Tv's just dont go up to high resolutions that fit their size because people mostly use them for movies and stuff like that, where the resolution wont be noticed much. but for a computer and small print, Tv's need to be 1080P although monitors go up to 1600 i havnt seen any tvs with that resolution. I used to use a 37 inch TV, and its resolution was 1368X720, it was 720P. I didnt get the clarity i wanted so i bought a 23 inch monitor :D

Just to let you know and to anyone else that may have came across the same problem as I had.

I bought an HDMI cable and hooked it up with my PC via a HDMI adapter to convert it to a DVI. And now my text is clear and looking great. As well the Resolution is now 1360x768.

Thanks for all your help but in the end Best Buy came through for me.

The HDMI Cable was around $41 and then the Adaptor (HDMI to DVI) was another $21.

Spent more than I should have but as long as it helps, which it did. it was money well spent.
