Resolution is weird and screen blacks out

This problem only happened today. It started with my screen's resolution changing for no apparent reason.

Ok, that was weird, but at least I can change it back.

But, after this happened, my screen starts blacking out for brief moments of about one second each, except that it happens constantly. There doesn't seem to be any kind of pattern to the blacking out, either; it just happens randomly. Sometimes it takes ten minutes to happen again, sometimes it can happen two or three times in the same minute. In fact, it happened while I'm typing this thread.

What's going on?

Try a different DVI/VGA cable to your computer. If it still does it, try a different computer. If this fixes it, your computer video is bad. If it doesn't fix it, I'd say its a bad monitor.

This might be a problem with your screen. Or you have bed drivers. I suggest that you reinstall the drivers, and if that helped. or to see if it is the computer, hook it up to a tv, if you can, and that should help you out a little.

I personally think it is your video card. I had a similar problem with mine and I tried all the things they said up there. You may of over heated your video card.
