resolution on different size monitors??

I was wonder if i had a 19 inch monitor and a 17 inch monitor and say im playing a game at 1280by1024 will it look better on the 17 inch monitor since its smaller and less pixels to put on the screen??
 
it all depends. Whichever one or ones that have a native resolution of 1280x1024 would look best while playing on it. If you run the game at like 1024x768 or another smaller size, it will speed up the fps and make the game better in that regard. But the size aone, assuming the number of pixels is the same, shold not make any difference at all
 
well as in CRT monitors cause i was thinking what is the point of having a big monitor if on a 17 inch monitor 1280x1024 looks better then 1280x1024 on a 19 inch montior by better i mean more crisp sharper image. and mabye to macth the 17 inch the 19 inch will have to run at 1600 by 1200 too look juss as good at 1280 by 1024 in the 17 inch and thus needs more powerfull computer. i know i should experiment myself but i wanted to ask u guys here first.
 
Well my 15 inch @ 1024 X 768 LCD looks just as sharp as any 19 inchers @ 1280 X 1024, but its really small.
 
how many pixels would you like? for 1280 x 1024 I like 19inch monitors. because the viewing size is a little easier on the eyes (basically looks similar to a 1024x768 on a 17incher.
