Restart During Games!

Hey!

My pc has just started restarting during games! It started a few days ago but got really bad two days ago. I dont think its my temps coz iv not got the processor running at 3.2 again and temps look fine, also I dont get a heat warning from MoBo before it crashes so almost sure its not heat. So, I guess its my PSU, and ill have to ge a new one under waranty, but is there any way it could be a software problem? My Windows is running slow again and its about time to format and reinstall so I dont want to send away PSU if it could just be windows. So, can a software problem cause my pc to restart?

try closing most background prog using ctrl+alt+del. If anything is overclocked at all, put everything back to stock speeds and run the game.

did you check your graphics card temps? search for Atitool.

Sounds like PSU but you might as well go ahead and reformat and reinstall!1 youl be glad you did anyways and if it isnt the problem at least you narrowed it down
