my comp is restarting by itself frequently now. i just started playing computer games again and it seems to get worse as time goes on. i think its windows live messenger so i am going to run without that for now, but i also think it could be a heat problem. at idle i am running 35 C and at load around 45C but during my gaming i am at 53C, i know these get hot but i think thats a big jump considering i have water cooling. Also, how can I check my GFX cards temp? i looked in speedfan but its not there

To try and isolate where the error is happening, and hopefully get some kind of error code do the following:
1) Press WINKEY+PAUSE/BREAK or right-click My Computer and choose Properties
2) Click on the Advanced tab (XP) or choose Advanced System Settings (Vista)
3) Under the Startup and Recovery section click Settings...
4) Under the System Failure section uncheck the Automatically Restart option.
This will stop Windows from restarting when it encounters a system failure, and instead it will give you the BSOD, where you can get an error code from, which will hopefully give you a better chance of getting answers to why you are crashing.

thanks for that. before it would restart every half hour or so. after closing windows live ive been running about 5 hours perfectly. im guessing that was the problem. going to check if theres an update, thanks again
