Restore won't work to another drive

Acronis True Image Home 2010
I have one hard drive in my computer with 2 partitions. First partition is empty second partition has my image for Windows 7. I boot with Windows 7 DVD or the System repair disk, Same thing. My image is not recognized by Windows 7. The image came from the same size partition as it is going into on the new hard drive. What can I do to make this work? I'm just trying to transfer my OS from one HD to another and both are SATA2 HD.
 
You have to use the acronis recovery cd in order to be able to do anything with the image file. If all you want to do is put windows 7 on the bigger hard drive then all you need to do is clone the drive.
