I performed a clean install on a friends PC a few months ago. Win Vista Home Business to Win 7 Pro. She claimed she set up a network share and placed all her folders that she wanted on the share. I trusted her, and SHOULD'VE checked, but I didn't. Apparently she didn't set the share up right, and has now realized she DESPERATELY needs a file that was on the old OS. There isn't a restore point except for Post-Install. I realize that I should've just performed an upgrade, but I didn't. Is there anyway to get that file back?

A fresh install deletes everything on the drive if there was only one partition made. You can try running a program called recuva in deep scan mode and see if it picks up the data.
