Rev Within Motherboard Name?

Hello all.

I was just wondering. With my motherboard (Gigabyte GA_965P_DS3) I notice that when going on the Gigabyte website there are various rev versions for my motherboard and I have no idea which I'm supposed to be going with when going to download the required drivers such as Chipset etc.

Any help with this would be great.

It should be printed on the board next to the model number. Perhaps a sticker.

I'm not sure where else, maybe in the bios?

I thought the same thing. I checked my manual although the only Rev number I see in there is on the first inner page and it reads: Reb 1002. There is no Rev 1002 on the website? :\.

I imagine for drivers that they would be the same. Do you have a link to where you bought the mobo?

That is the link to where I purchased the motherboard. It doesn't state anything about Rev numbering.

The Revision number is only on the mobo, you can't tell what rev you get untill you get the board. It's in the top right hand corner of the pic

It might be hard to see, but it says on this pic REV1.0 just above the screw hole.
AFAIK, for this board you can get up to 3.3
The differences? I don't know.

Usually in the revisions they make minor changes to the board. It's kind of like core stepping on CPUs.

In the case of the DS3, they have made 333FSB supported natively, I think they changed the chipset heatsink.

I don't think you need to know. I think Gigabyte have a software for driver update. By the way, I think you can find which version by looking at the box
