Review my build & Help

Okay so I'm new to the forums and hope you guys can help me.
I am building a pc for college and gaming, and will be using a single monitor. Maybe upgrade to two later in the future.

And I'm almost done with the build I just need a few reviews and help. This is what I picked out so far.
All I need is the GPU I'm not sure on which to pick or go sli/xfire.

Can you guys let me know if everything will work fine together, maybe I have some parts that don't go together. Am I also missing something? This is my first build so I need as much help as I can get.
Would everything fit in the case?

Thanks, are their any other parts you recommend? Im thinking thermal paste, im not sure what its called. And do you guys have any suggestions on a gpu? Limit for the gpu is $700. Thanks

I made up my mind with the gpu, since the 6990 are loud and get hot
Im going with a GTX 580 then sli in the future

Is that all I need for my first build?
Am I missing something that I don't know about.
Maybe like a hd? Ive seen people that have many for reasons I don't know about.

You do not need another HDD one will suffice, unless you have a specific reason to add another one. For instance, people like to keep an SSD for a boot drive and a HDD for saved files etc. However, that's not necessary.

I would avoid that PSU.Cooler Master does not make the best PSUs.Try brands like Corsair,Silverstone,Pc Power and cooling ,Seasonic,XFX.

The HD 6990 is an amazing card I think you should definately go with that and avoid sli'ing in the future.SLI is never recomended on this forum by anyone.SLI produces more heat requires a lot of power and also has driver issues.

Change the Heatsink fan to something like the Scythe Ultra Kaze 120mm.
They are awesome Heatsink fans with good CFM.

If you are just buying the computer for gaming then the Core i5 2500k will more than enough to run any game at full setting. The core i7 2600k is overkill for gaming.

It won't only be for gaming It will be for Video Editing, Graphic Animation and such.
I'll be using this for college as well.
