Can anyone figure this out. I went to Ibuypower.com and built a gaming rig to see what the cost would be to have someone else build it and send it to me. Then I took all of the parts from the Ibuypower build and looked them up on Newegg.com to see what it would cost to build it myself. To my surprise, the newegg build was about 400 dollars more expensive? How is that possible? here is the build. Some of the parts might not be EXACT such as the case and a few other smaller things. Ok have fun!

You should look in different places also, not just newegg. They have some great prices, but not always the best.

newegg isn't that bad if you look on PriceGrabber.com newegg is usually always the lowest priced seller

Ok, even so if I could get the processor at 400 dollars cheaper that would put Building it myself and having ibuypower build it and ship it at roughly the same price...that just doesn't sound right to me?

I looked at this a couple of years ago, and it was more expensive to buy the parts, than to buy a similar computer ready built. Seemed a bit odd to me too.

they don't always buy from the same place, thy look around and they also get deals for wholesale so they can cell the parts cheaper...

you try to build a computer for $200 that includes a 15" LCD and printer like dell can

I think I figured out part of the problem, The build on Ibuypower SAID that there was two of the graphics cards but when I returned to build the same comp and figured out what was off they had changed the list to ONE card. So the build I found on newegg had one more card than the other.
