Hi. What are some of the compatibility things to note when building a rig?
Besides, intel mobo can only be compatible with intel processor and amd mobo only compatible with amd processor, are there anymore compatibility to note?
Power supply, dvd writer, hard drive, kingston ram any Nvidia or Ati pcie series graphics card are compatible on any pcie board of any northbridge?
One uncle explained that certain mixture of parts after assembling cannot start at all. Anyone has any tips of advice?
 
here's a couple:

you have to be sure if the power supply is powerful enough for the components you'll be running

your motherboard be compatible with a processor you want. (i.e. mobo can support 45nm, core2quads etc etc.)
 
Might be easier to post the links to the products you are getting and we can tell you if they are compatible.

Yes intel CPUs can only go on intel motherboards, and the same for AMD.

You can get a better PSU for that price

A good DVD writer, around $30 US, sata and get a lightscribe burner.
