Right click operation

I just received some photos from a friend. When I right-clicked to rename and save them, none of the usual "rename, save as, rotate clockwise, etc" came up.

I shut down, and restarted, but the same thing is happening.

Anyone have any suggestions?

thanks

So what options do you have when you right click on a picture. I get rename, rotate clockwise/counterclockwise but not save as.

That's just it John. There's no box, no text, nothing. Just days ago, everything worked well.

Since then, I've run Ccleaner, Adwcleaner, and Malwarebytes. I may do so again this morning, and see what results. I'll let you know.

thanks

How did you receive these photos? Were they attached to an email or what?

Yes, the pictures were attached to an email from a friend.

So, this morning I opened a picture, right-clicked, again nothing. But, when I go back and just highlight the name of the attached file without opening it first, I have a "save as" option. Once it's saved to a folder, I can open it, edit it, etc.

It just seemed odd that once the file was opened, all the options with the right-click were unavailable.

So, apparently all is not lost.

I don't use Windows Photo Viewer, so I couldn't say. But right clicking the attachment I do all the time, and is what I was going to suggest.
