Rip Off, Or Deal?

Hey guys. I was getting to grow old of my 15" when my dad called me and said that they had a 19" monitor for a really good price. I got this monitor for about $210 after a re-bate and 10% off because it was a display model. However the only problem I have with this monitor is that when I set the resolution pretty high the text fades then gets bold and smeary! However, it came with software... could this be the problem? My friends say that the text is a little fuzzy, but it doesn't really bother me that much. So... what do you think? Rip off or a deal? Thanks, and comments are welcome.:D
 
did you disable cleartype? Right click on desktop > properties > Apperance > effects > disable cleartype.

I'm not seeing a disable cleartype here... im running windows 2000 (:() so would that be the problem?

Whenever I change the resolution to the max in settings this monitor looks beautiful... however for some reason the text gets bold and then fades in words and it's really annoying. Try Installing the software?

Sorry dude, already sold it to my dad for $100 (even though he gave it to me for free but shhhhhh!;))... but right now I feel really dumb. All I had to do was press the auto adjust button:o :o :o ...

I know, I know... thanks anyway guys! The screen looks awesome!
 
Haha I'm sorry dude :(. But this is such an upgrade from my 15" I can't tell you how happy I am at this moment.:D

Ahhh finally I can play CS:S without having to squint! :)
