This latest game from Midway crashes on Win 2000 right after its splash screen shows up. I have a fast PC with latest NVidia drivers. It crashes in lowlevelengine.dll file. Anyone seen this?


Unfortunately, Midway has you write 3 essays, give a speech, and take a urine test before they can read your tech support email. So, I guess I have no choice but ask here ...
 
Hmm..., well I have had some recent issues with the newest nVidia drivers, in fact had to go back to October for ones that would work... When was this game published? It kind of sounds like a security conflict with a Windows security component in 2K.

The only reason I upgraded to the newest drivers was because the old ones had the same problem.

This game does launch in Win XP. I am not using any security in Win 2000, although it is in NTFS.

I believe this game is not supported in Win 2000 like the box says.
