Did anyone else's roadrunner just get bumped in speed?

Mine just went from 5mbps to 7mbps, and they're offering 15mbps for $55 a month

It seems like they just started bandwidth shaping to coincide with bumping line speed, tho. My newsgroup downloads just dropped from 601kBps to 200

Has anyone else noticed a huge drop in usenet speed the last few days on their road runner?

I'd rather have my old 5mbps speed back, if they're going to start limiting my downloads so much........

i'll have to wait and see if it's a night/day thing, if my speeds increase at night. but so far, it's staying rock steady @ 200, so i would guess it's being limited :(

last weekend on usenet i'm getting 3mb then at night i'm getting the max speed. i doubt they limit speed on usage because i'm been going crazy since i got it 7 years ago and they didnt do a thing but increase the speed for free. lets hope they give me 7mb soon... :D

it's possible they're bandwidth shaping during peak times.

i wont freak out until i see what kinds of speed i get at night.

i think they just changed it today during the day.

my computer is downloading at home so i'll check the log and see if there are speed increase while i'm gone :D

ARGHHHHHHHH!

I can't deal with 200KB/s.

My internet goes ~900KB/s now, but my binaries are struggling to get above 200 :(

I gotta tell ya, this isn't gonna cut it. I'm on the phone with roadrunner right now, and i'm either upgrading or turning my cable off entirely. I'd rather not pay for it at all if i'm only "allowed" to use 1/5 of my bandwidth.

If i'm paying for a given line speed, i don't think i need time warner telling me what i CAN and CANT use it for. F 'em
