rootkit your fresh install

You ever go searching the Internet for those allusive drivers? And you find a site that has a bunch of drivers and it turns out they have the one you need. So you install it and all is good...right? NO! you just installed a rootkit! Yes, kids, malicious drivers are a good way to install rootkits in windows. So think twice when you install drivers from third party sites.

I had to do some driver hunting a few days back and remembered a conversation with some security people at university. Yeah I'm not sure the likely hood but its something to think about.
 
That's why I only get drivers from the manufacturers website. If it's not there then I get them from one site only and that's Driver Guide. There is always a lot of clicking and it's better to register, less clicking. http://www.driverguide.com/
 
So you trust driverguide with the health of your computer? Personally, I ONLY download directly from the source. From nowhere else at all.
