10 - 12 Mbps (bits) is fairly average speed so most any router should be good with that.
This speed translates to around 1 - 1.4 Mbps (bytes) actual speed which is what windows will report.
My ISP speed is 15 Mbps (Mega Bits per Second) and get around 1.6 - 2 Mbps (Mega Bytes per Second) reported by windows. The advertized speeds are rated in BITs and windows reports in Bytes thus you need to divide by 8 and then consider over head (hand shaking, error correction etc.)
