Hello, I just got the BT Home Hub for my house, and linked it to 2 computers (sisters wirless network card for some reason does not pick up the signal). But thats not the point I wish to talk about now.

Basically, when I turn my computer on, it says I am connected to the router but when ever I try to go on MSN or any programme that is internet based it does not work  .

So I then Disconnected research for networks then connect again and its fine. Why is this?? And any thoughts on how to solve it.

I have the latest drivers for my wireless network card thingy "creatix 802.11g wireless adapter" and can't role them back as I never had an earlier vertion insalled. Please help because this defeats the object of having a router, if I need to connect.

you can reset your router by finding the reset button located on it, this will turn all settings to default and you will lose any security you have set up.

Then I would audit your area and see how many wireless networks are running, could be interference with another

Then once connected to your wifi network I would run another app to analyze it.

Your question is broad and it could be caused by a plethora of things.

Im not really sure what that ethernet programme is for, but im guessing I should run it before I correct the problem (It still exists). Ohh and there is no other wireless networks near by.

you can run it and see how many packets are erroring out, since there is possibility of interference from something in your location.

Did you reset the router?

Sorry its not working again, just happens when I leave my computer for 10 min and it connects itself.

Okay here is a screen shot of 2 different things, telling me my default gateway is not open (blured addrsses dunno if showing them is a security threat lol)
