Router not Working

My mom bought a Netgear Wireless-G 54 Router WGR614

and we had it for about 3 days and then yesterday we went into town for about an hour and when we came back the router didnt work??? I dont know what happened but it was working good an hour before.

The problem is it doesnt get a connection from the modem but if i put the cable directly into the modem it works.

We've tried turning off everything and waited for 1min and turned it on.
We've also tried reseting the router. We haven't changed any settings on the
192.168.1.1 page other than reseting to factory settings after the problem came up...

Please help me i need the router!!

That model of router is crap. Don't even bother getting a replacement. You need to get something like this model from linksys.

Well i fixed my router, now it's something strange with the wireless...
I can connect the wireless to my wii but not my laptop. But when i connect the laptop at
my dads house it works.. whaa?

It's probably the security thats set up on the router.

Well i've tried configuring the Secu-Options in the router IP but nothing works.
