Hi is it possible to be noticed, when using a router , if there s anyone already connecting to the Internet through my router ? If I don't want to set passwords to the router , is it possible to limit the range of the wifi signal so that my neighbours won't be able to access my wifi? Could generic router be able to set manually or by schedule when the wireless network be closed during the day ? I don't allow my kids get online after 00:00.

The routers I linked you in your original thread have timers on them that can set the wireless schedules. There is no way to limit the range. As far as seeing if anyone else is connected, you can check the DHCP logs in the router settings.

Hello I actually got two 802.11g routers from TPlink and gigabyte but I lost their manuals. Is setting schedules or turning off wireless connection a common features of generic router ? If that's the case I will try installating those old routers to save unnecessary cost

Btw those routers only have one antenna. Will that be sufficient to pass through concrete steel wall between bedrooms ? Thanks

You can limit the range by limiting the WIFI power. Usually this requires a third party firmware flash like DD-WRT, but you have to see if the router is supported.

Yeah, some routers support this with third party software and such.

The wifi modem/router I have the default software has the option to set the wifi range to low medium or high.
