Routers with 4 ADSL ports WHERE :s ?

Are you talking about a router that will alow you for example to take 4 seperate say 6MB dsl lines and joing them into one so you would have a 24mb dsl connection?
 
Yep it can be done. But i think you need to have a service provider that will allow you to do it . But you could use Uplink Bonding which takes away the confusion at the ISP's end . What ya think ?
 
Personaly I think it could be done but it would be a waste of money unless you realy need the speed and you can only get a 6MB connection like where I am living now and pay $30 a month that would be $120 a month for 4 lines. Before I moved I had 30MB dsl for about the same price, so if you realy need the speed I would check with local service providers and see what they have to offer. Most independent ISP'S will provide you with what ever speed you need VS say SBC that will only allow you 6MB.

But when I had 30MB dsl I found out most servers have a bandwidth limit that will only allow you to download at a set speed anyway and I could not realy take advantage on a 30MB connection unless I was downloading alot of things at the same time.
 
ive never seen a 30mb connection before. Well i do not think were im gonna be setting this up im not gonna be able to get hold of a 30mb connection . So i think the multi port ADSL is the only alternative for me. Do you think it can be done ?
 
well were im setting this up i do not think i will be able to get anything else appart from the ADSL 8mb service they offer. So the multi-port ADSL is the only other solution.Do you think it can be done ? How ?
 
I havent seen a 30mb connection either myself aside from business lines and even those are generally a fair bit lower then that. The concept of melding the DSL lines seems plausable and fanciful at the same time.. very interesting though, thanks for the post, I will definately look into that!
 
yeh ive been doing a good it of a research into it . I think one of the problems is that you need a broadband company that allows it. At the ISP's end they need to have the technology already installed. So its quite rare to come across them . And theres norwere i can use were im setting this up. If you find a solution to this then let me know :D

yeh they could supply a 30mb connection becuase it was going through a fiber optic cable ! Its rare to see them about you may have been lucky to be in that area .

I was lucky...there was a bunch of factories right behind me, like I said though now the very best I can get is 6MB but I dont realy see and performance loss unless I am downloading alot of things at once. The only time I realy seen any fast download is when I was downloading something like windows update I seen speeds 25MB's and a few other servers would provide download speeds that fast but most of them was capped at around 8mb or 10mb to prevent you from hogging bandwidth.
 
I'm getting more and more PC's into me office and i need to ensure they all got a 2mb connection. So when i go over 4 pcs I.E over my 8 mb connection i will need another 8mb connection .
 
yeh that would be on way but i want to manage all the connections so it would need to go down one line and then im using a program to manage the bandwidth etc.... Also evey time i get a new connection i will need to buy a new Broadband Router ! I think if i could get a 4-port ADSL router that would solve all my problems.
