RPC Not available

I have a pc with windows vista. I get RPC Server not available and I cannot get to control panel or if I right click on computer and select properties or manage.

The RPC service is present and running but for some reason it thinks it is not. Please help

I would highly suspect that this machine is infected and you need to scan for malware using malwarebytes.

Thank you John. I have run the malewarebytes program and still get the problem

Did Malwarebytes find anything bad? If so, its possible that you still aren't clean and need further cleanup. Or it may be easier to just do a fresh install of windows.
