I did the same thing when I got Morrowind for free with my ATI All in Wonder Radeon 9800 pro. Didn't get very far though, mostly walked around and robbed stores.

Front Mission 4 is an awesome game for the PS2. It's kinda like Final Fantasy Tactics but with giant robots and big explosions.

thats what i did, i built up all my stealing skills and took absolutley everything in the stores. lol

If your looking for a ofline RPG i agree with most, wait for Oblivion, but untill then you could check out the online RPG Tibia, its completely free. Its not good when you start, but when you get good at it, it hard to get off it.
