Runescape Type Programming.

Not that I want to make a game with runescape graphics, just my friend and I were talking about programming and he brought up how the process is done.

I said java. Lol.
Not sure on the details.

Then he said, once the java is known, how do you start mapping the 'world' out and stuff.



I am asking these questions on both of our behalf's.
