running crossfire

is it worth running crossfire w/ two video cards? or buying:
EVGA 012-P3-1472-AR GeForce GTX 470 (Fermi) SuperClocked 1280MB


I would be running games like CoD and GTA on high graphics settings

Have no idea. You didnt say what two cards you would be running C/F with.

Going by Newegg prices, assuming you are in the US, a single GTX470 is ~$260-280.

For an extra $20-40, you can get a HD5970:

which will massively outperform the GTX470, and will outperform every other car available at the moment.

Just make sure that your current power supply can handle it

You know thats a 6950 not a 5970. 5970 is a high dollar card.
