Running Hot

good thing about the antec900 is the exhaust fan at the back is at the top (hot air rises)

i have the 2 front as intake and the top back as exhaust, a good constant flow of air cant hurt just make sure there isnt too much cluttering the fans from operating properly!

i have it in my drawer.

Okay. I thought you said you used it all. It sounds like you used it correctly the first time anyway, though. You cleaned the heat spreader on the processor and the base of the heatsink with isopropyl alcohol first, right? Which program is giving you these temps? And what's your room temperature in Fahrenheit?

And lastly, the Q6600 came with a "tall" (as opposed to the shorter ones that ship with 45nm processors and Celerons) stock heatsink with a copper core, right? Your temperatures shouldn't be this high (not that you're in the danger zone).

yea i used rubbing alcohol to clean the heatsink and cpu. im using real temp, and if i use core temp i get 5c higher. I too think it is too warm. maybe if i turn it off for the night i will get better temps, since i have been running my computer for about one month straight. Yes i got the copper core, but it doesnt look any different than the one my friend got with his E4600.
