running low on system memory

Hello,
Regularly a message appears when using Premiere Pro:

Adobe Premiere Pro is running low on system memory. Please save your project and proceed with caution.

What could be wrong?

Some extra information about the system:

quad core 9450
4 Gb RAM
P5Q MB

Recently, because of this issue I have replaced 4 Gb OCZ with 4 Gb Kingston 800 Mhz RAM

I would appreciate some recommendations.

if im not mistakin it does this when the computer runs out of harddrive space. but it could also be your ram is full

It could be that the page file is full too. Try increasing it.

i would have to think the last post would be accurate. if it was memory associated i would think 4gig and never seen it with 4 gig of mem. i think it would be associated with a virtual memory error. 4 gig i require for newsgroups but because of the strong retention. page files i would also look at.

OK thanks, but please assist me alittle. So it could be or:

1 virtual memory error
2 page file too small

How can I adjust one or both of these?
