Running Out Of System Memory Whilst Playing A Game

Hi there, I've been having an issue lately with my Memory (RAM) usage apparently. Whilst playing games like Tropico 4, Skyrim, or Roller Coaster Tycoon 3, occasionally, my PC will pause the game, and basically alt-tab out of it to my desktop to warn me that my PC is running out of system memory and I should close programs to continue to function properly.

I know for a fact that I have plenty of memory when it says this, because if I check my task managers performance section, my RAM is usually only at like 60% at most. Is there a way to get it to stop thinking I am, or just turn off this message or something? It's pretty distracting when I'm playing Skyrim and then the thing just closes. Thanks for the help in advance.

Do you actually feel while playing that you're running out of RAM? If so, it could be a faulty slot/RAM.

Nope, while playing, there is nothing noticeable at all, and I'm certainly experienced enough to be able to tell if it were decreasing whilst playing, so I'm sure it's nothing noticeable. I'm curious if it's just some bug with Windows 8.1 or something.

Did you disable the page file? Usually you'll only get those alerts if there isn't also sufficient swap space.
